We're getting married

MAY 29, 2016 / St. John / US virgin islands

FIVE YEARS AGO...

... we took our inaugural vacation together.  A mere two months after our first date, we ventured to St. John.  It was there - on cliffs rising above the Caribbean Sea - that we fell in love.  Not only with each other, but with a truly magical island.  We hope that you'll join us there as we write the next chapter of our story.

St. John LOGISTICS

TRAVEL DETAILS

FLIGHTS  |  Travel to St. John is relatively straightforward.  You'll fly into St. Thomas (STT), grab a 40-minute cab (often shared with others) to the Red Hook ferry terminal, and hop on a quick 20-minute ferry to St. John's Cruz Bay.

PASSPORTS  |  Since St. Thomas and St. John are both US territories, you do not need a passport to enter (and your cell phones will not incur pesky international charges).  However, on Saturday, we'll be heading into British waters and YOU WILL NEED A PASSPORT if you plan to join us on the boats.  Check those expiration dates to make sure that yours is still valid!

TRANSPORTATION  |  If you're feeling adventurous, you may want to rent a Jeep to cruise around St. John.  But cabs are always available, and all of the venues are fairly close to one another.

LODGING  |  In terms of accommodations, you can either rent a house or condo, or stay in a swank hotel.  There are a handful on the island, but the two biggest ones are:

THE WESTIN ST. JOHN + VILLAS

This hotel shares a beach with the villa where our families are staying.  You can book at either the Westin proper or the Villas.  (Both are essentially the same, but the latter is associated with a time-share program.)

The current wedding rates are 10% below standard rates.  Use the link below, be sure to verify your dates, and check back occasionally.  Rates may fall as we get further into 2016.

Note that there will be construction happening at the hotel during the month of May, and the Westin has advised us that there may be noise by the pool during the day.  Factor that into your consideration, and give them a call directly for more details.

Pro tip:  This hotel is also a steal with Starwood points!

CANEEL BAY

The site for Sunday's wedding, Caneel Bay is a breathtakingly beautiful resort.
It's a bit pricey, but we think it's worth every penny.

Now that we've bombarded you with intel, please scroll back to the top of the page, click the RSVP button, and let us know if you'll be joining us in St. John.  Don't worry - we won't hold you to it.  Yet.  But we'd love to get a sense of your general inclinations.  Hope to see you on the island!  Much love.  D + E
